This is a great product so far. It looks like it was made by Apple - this is a compliment to its quality as well as the packaging. It arrived as promised and in perfect condition.
A couple of things could be improved. The silicon pad does slide off too easily. It would be nice to have a tighter fit as well as the material added on the backside to prevent the pad from sliding toward the display. This is very annoying.
Also the timer starts with too much delay in automatic mode - probably needs more sensitivity. However, overall it is a very nice, accurate scale for espresso lovers.
I searched high and low for a coffee scale that would fit under my Flair Signature manual espresso maker. This one _barely_ fits, but it does.
The build feels very solid. I like that the surface of the scale is not glass-like, like so many of the other ones I found online. This one also includes the rubber mat, but since I'm more comfortable with the material, I don't use it. It's fiddly to have the mat because I move my scale around, and it comes off--all of them that have the mats do that. Which is partly why I like this one--cuz I don't need it.
The scale itself seems to work, and I find its automatic timer start to be more responsive than another scale from Amazon that I tested. That said, the interface isn't super intuitive. I had to read the directions.. and it doesn't seem to remember/stay on the auto-timer, which is unfortunate. Another minor nit is that I think the timer should auto-shut off when it senses the flow has stopped. It seems to only stop if I lift the cup. No big deal, tho.
Other than that, it seems to work great and as I said, the primary requirement of being smaller than the others is a big win for me.
this scale is really a great tool! Small, light, is doing a great job and perfect for on the go!!
This scale is super fast and is exceptionally well calibrated out of the box. The size is just large enough for pour overs as well as french press but also small enough to fit into tight spaces. Its also does not need to be perfectly level as the load cell is not tied to the feet like some other scales.
Seems great so far. I had a greater goods scale years ago when I first got into making pourover coffee. Seem like a solid company that makes reliable scales.
